The Tournament Committee of the Southwest Lawn Bowls Association invites entries in
Southern California Rinks

Highlights:
• Open to male members in good standing of a lawn bowling club approved by the SWLBA, or affiliated with National or International organizations.
• Deadline for receipt of entries is Fri.,APRIL 9, 2010. It is possible that late entries will be refused. Everyone should enter in timely fashion, allowing ample time for mail delivery.
• $25 per player
• This is one of the “points” tournaments, which means that the winners will receive points towards the SW Division All Star Team, and the USLBA National Team.
Format: TWO DAY EVENT
1st Day, Qualification: Three (3) 14-End games. BLIND DRAW.
2nd Day, Eight best teams ranked by WTPP return for Finals.
2nd Day, Finals: 16 -Ends, for 1st & 2nd place. (14-ends all other matches)
2nd Day Seed teams by results of first day as follows; team 1 vs 8 ,4 v 5, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 ,

If the number of entries exceeds the forms below, any piece of paper with the proper legible information is acceptable. Entries do not have to be sent in all at once, but should be sent in timely fashion, since late entries may be refused.

RESULTS
After the last bowl was delivered, only one team remained undefeated in the So. Cal. Rinks at MacKenzie
Park LBC, a two-day men's Division Major event.
Both days saw an abundance of good bowls among the 14 teams, with the top 8 teams qualifying for the
second day of winner-play-winner competition. The self-seeded draw saw the #1 qualifier team of Tony Baer face the team of Lloyd Kennedy, and Jim Olson's team v. that of Steve Smith, Simon Meyerowitz, Bill Reidy, and Sam Benjamin. The lower half of the draw pitted Courtney's team (the #2 qualifier and the only other undefeated team) v. Charlie Herbert, Brian Stewart, Don Stewart, and Rob Kost; and Rob Humphrey, Rick
Warren, Jim Nash, and Kelly Warren v. Amador Martinez, Dick Rivera, Sam De Lisle, and Bill Patrizzi.
In the first round on Sunday, tied coming home, Baer's 3rd, Michael Siddall, ditched the jack with a runner, coming to rest less
than a foot away in the ditch. Paul Gresbrink, Kennedy's 3rd, pushed his team's only toucher on the rink into the ditch on top of Siddall's bowl, and it fell into the space between - for the shot and the match. The first round were winners Kennedy, Olson, Courtney, and Humphrey, relegating the losers to the Consolation Flight.
