The Tournament Committee of the Southwest Lawn Bowls Association invites entries in

2012 Southern California Triples

 

Sat. - Sun., March 10/11, 2012 at San Diego LBC; 8:30 announcements, 8:45 trial ends.

 For full details about this tournament, please refer to the Tournament "Bluebook", available at your club or on the SW Division web site. 

 

Open to male members in good standing of a lawn bowling club approved by the SWLBA, or affiliated with National or International organizations.

 

  • $25 per player; $75 per team

This is one of the “points” tournaments, which means that the winners will receive points towards the SW Division All Star Team, and the USLBA National Team.

 

Format:  TWO DAY EVENT

 

           1st Day, Qualification: Three (3) 16-End games. BLIND DRAW.

           2nd Day, Eight best teams ranked by WTPP (plus points limited to 10) return for finals (see the SW Division Bluebook for breaking ties).

           2nd Day, 16 Ends, except Finals for 1st & 2nd place will be 18 -Ends.

           2nd Day Seed teams by results of first day as follows; team 1 vs 8, 4 vs 5, 2 vs 7,            3vs 6.


Please bring your own lunch to all Division events. Hospitality will be provided by host clubs,

consisting of limited hot and/or cold beverages and a small sweet on arrival, limited salads

and a small dessert for lunch. Soft drinks will be available for purchase. Do not expect host

clubs to provide enough food for either breakfast or lunch - that is your responsibility.

 

A group rate has been set up with the Mission Valley Resort.  875 Hotel Circle South (south side of I-8 in Mission Valley).  619.298.8281.  Room rates are $69 per night plus taxes.  There is a 24 hour cancellation policy; however, on a space available basis rooms may be purchased at this rate at the last moment.  To use this rate just mention “lawn Bowling”

 

 

Deadline for receipt of entries is Mon., March 5, 2012  It is possible that late entries will be refused.  Everyone should enter in timely fashion, allowing ample time for mail delivery.

 

Please use Pay Pal or mail entries to: Jim Olson,  with payment enclosed. Please make checks payable to: Tourn. Comm., SW Division. If the number of entries exceeds the forms below, any piece of paper with the proper legible information is acceptable. Entries do not have to be sent in all at once, but should be sent in timely fashion, since late entries may be refused.
